December 30, 2010  we will be showing two movies back to back starting at 2:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome  to come and watch. You may bring a pillow or blanket. There will be no snacks, but you may bring your own.     Hope to see you there.

We wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!    The library will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 23rd thru Dec. 25th for the Christmas holiday. We will reopen on Monday, Dec. 27th at 9:00 am.  We will also be closed on January 1st, 2011 for New Years. We will reopen on January  3rd at 9:00 am.    The bookdrop in the alley will be locked over the long weekends, but the front drop will be open.

We have a great selection of Cook Books  to make your Thanksgiving  meal special.Or maybe you need a new  recipe for a good soup or stew for these cooler evenings.   Come in a check out what we have.

The Kearny County Library will be closed on Thursday, November 11, 2010  in honor of Veterans Day.

We are taking donations of mittens, hats, and scarves, for our” Mitten Tree”,  until the end of December. We will divide the items between the Lakin and Deerfield schools, so that  on cold and blustry days a child without mittens can get a pair and stay warm.  All donations are greatly appreciated!
